01Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, installing our app, activating a device, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a family or household, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for those members.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

02The Service

Shalom is a family safety service that combines wearable GPS devices with a real-time mobile app and a local monitoring team. Features may include live location sharing, one-tap SOS alerts, geofence safe zones, location history, and 24/7 guardian monitoring.

We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the Service.

03Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date so we can deliver alerts and support reliably.

04Family circles and consent to locate

Shalom is designed to help families look after one another. You may only add and locate a person if you have the legal right and that person’s consent to do so, or, in the case of a child or dependent, if you are their parent or legal guardian.

Where appropriate, you must inform members of your circle that their location is being shared with you through Shalom. You agree not to use the Service to track, monitor, or contact any person unlawfully or without authority.

05Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use it to stalk, harass, threaten, or unlawfully surveil any person.
• Add or locate anyone without the required consent or guardianship.
• Send false or malicious SOS or emergency alerts.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or devices except as expressly permitted.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

06Devices, plans, and payments

Some features require a Shalom wearable device and an active subscription. Fees, billing cycles, and what each plan includes are shown at the point of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You are responsible for applicable charges. You are responsible for the care of any device in your possession; lost, damaged, or stolen devices may incur replacement costs.

07Emergencies and monitoring

Shalom can help you respond faster, but it is not a substitute for emergency services. In a genuine emergency, always contact your local emergency services (such as 911) first.

Our monitoring and alerting are provided on a best-effort basis and depend on factors outside our control, including cellular coverage, GPS availability, device battery, and third-party networks. We cannot guarantee that every alert will be delivered or acted upon without delay.

08Service availability and accuracy

We work hard to keep the Service available and locations accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or precise at all times. Location accuracy can vary with environment, signal, and hardware.

We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

09Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, content, branding, and design, is owned by Shalom Technologies and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, family use in line with these Terms.

10Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including location data. Please review it carefully.

11Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the extent permitted by law, Shalom Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any failure or delay in delivering an alert.

12Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or the Service.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of The Bahamas.
